Acting Classes with David D. Mitchell

How often have you sat in the audience and said to yourself…or maybe
aloud… “I can do WAY better then that!” How often have you thought
about that one Jr. High or High school experience when you took center
stage and nailed the best punch line in the play, cried on cue, or
conquered that one high note that was always out of your reach!  How
many more times are you going to say “I’m gonna get back into
acting…or I should take some acting classes!”  Well, no time like the
present… LEARN THE CRAFT OF ACTING from David D. Mitchell.

COURSE OFFERING:

ADVANCED SCENE STUDY

This class is designed for professionals and non-professionals
interested in acquiring advanced acting skills. Classes will assist
students in discovering impulse and authenticity.  Special attention
will be given to the breakdown and execution of a contemporary scene,
with a concentration on objectives and tactics. The class also
includes advanced text analysis by way of beats and adjustments. All
Instruction incorporates the Meisner Technique as a means of isolating
impulse.  The class reinforces such basics as, improvisation, sensory
awareness, and the language / vocabulary of the theatre.

WHEN:

The Advance Scene Study Class meets Saturdays (11:00am-2:00pm)

The classes will run 8 consecutive weeks

COST OF CLASS: $150 = 8 (3hr) Sessions (… less than $20 per class)

Included in the cost of the workshop are two field trips, to observe thespians at work:TBA

Signup requires a $50 Non-refundable deposit.  (All participants must be paid in full by the end of the first week).  There are no refunds after the first week.

Deposits for either the Essentials Class or the Advance Scene Study class will need to be paid on or before September 27, 2013.  Payments can be made via PayPal (Preferred Method) or in person.  Participants paying via PayPal, will receive an invoice via the PayPal system (PayPal is safe, secure, and efficient).
